Book your hotel to receive the Dare to Lead or government rates
Century Plaza Hotel and Spa is the location of the Dare to Lead Conference and guest rooms. Amenities in the hotel include a fitness centre, spa, pool, restaurant and coffee shop. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown and is a short walk to Vancouver’s central shopping and entertainment districts, restaurants, and the waterfront.

All rates are based on a double occupancy of the room and receipts should be submitted through the cheque requisition process of your own chapter. Please coordinate with your board to assign rooms pairings. If you would prefer not to share a guestroom, you will be responsible for covering half of the room costs and will be reimbursed for the other half by your chapter.

Century Plaza offers provincial and federal government rates for guest who work for governmental organizations. Here is a list of organizations in British Columbia that are eligible for government pricing. These rates would also apply to people who work in similar organizations in other Canadian provinces. If you are unsure whether your organization receives government rates, a hotel staff person will be able to advise over the phone.

From airport to hotel
Transit | Take the Canada Line to Vancouver City Centre. From there it’s a short walk, bus or taxi ride to the hotel on Burrard St. The train ticket from the airport is $9 and return to the airport is $4. The trip should be approximately 35-40 minutes, depending on traffic. For more information, please visit Translink.
Taxi | Taxi travel from YVR Airport to downtown Vancouver will cost a flat rate of $35. Return from downtown Vancouver to the airport is charged by the meter and should likely be around the same price. Taking a taxi may be a more economical option if there are several participants traveling together.

Tourism Vancouver “Show Your Badge” program
Dare to Lead attendees are eligible to receive exclusive discounts at participating member businesses by showing your Dare to Lead conference badge. Your registration confirmation email can also be used if you are arriving in Vancouver prior to May 27. Please note many offers require you to book in person at Tourism Vancouver’s Visitor Centre.
