Media Tour attendees got to visit 3 of Metro Vancouver’s most influential media outlets and learned how to work more effectively with editors, producers and reporters. They heard directly from the newsroom and how media develop their content, source stories and prioritize story pitches.

At Steamworks in Gastown for the IABC/BC Spring Social and Volunteer Recognition event. Attendees got new ideas on how to refresh their wardrobe and personal brand with a fashion show of upcoming spring trends by local retailers Dream Apparel, Lüt Boutique and DEVIL MAY WEAR. They also got to take advantage of a complimentary professional headshot compliments of Ballistic Arts Media Studios Inc. The event also recognized the hard work of those that keep our chapter running so smoothly – our volunteers.

IABC/BC's premier event of the year, recognizing the best communicators in BC.
In addition to honouring the winners of the Bronze Quill Awards, the President’s Award winners – Volunteer of the Year and Outstanding New Volunteer – and the Student Communicator of the Year will was presented. This year, wasn't just about celebrating the awards but also, sharing the expertise and knowledge of those voted to be the best in BC communications. Each of the Bronze Quill Award winners hosted an engaging ‘Best in BC’ master class presentation, ‘Pecha Kucha’ style.
