Description

Bring your detail-oriented editing, writing, and publication management skills to a role with a diverse mix of internal and external communications. You’ll edit web and print publications for consistency of style, quality, and content, and coordinate editorial projects from conception through final publication.

 

What you’ll do:

As an editorial and production coordinator you will:

  • Work with internal clients to develop story ideas and content, and write and edit stories for our intranet site
  • Edit and coordinate the production of brochures, booklets, posters, reports, manuals, and various writing projects
  • Assist departments with their communications needs by providing advice on style, objectives, and publication standards and procedures
  • Be a liaison between clients and artists, web publishers, photographers, typesetting, printing, or outside suppliers

 

Is this a good fit for you?

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Assume responsibility for projects, assign tasks, and provide input to a production team
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external contacts to bring success to projects
  • Write and edit material in a wide variety of genres

 

Your background and experience:

  • A Bachelor of Arts degree
  • Professional training in writing, editing, proofreading, and publishing
  • A minimum of three years of experience as an editor, preferably in a corporate or not-for-profit setting
  • Knowledge of the publishing process, including elements of production and design
  • Knowledge of web writing, editing, and publishing
