Position Highlights

ICBC is going through a period of dynamic change and we are hiring a Senior Stakeholder Relations Advisor for a temporary two-year opportunity to join the Public Affairs team in engaging stakeholders as we work to get the insurance system back on track to make it better for B.C.

We are seeking an influential, self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a track record of leading the implementation of stakeholder strategies, preferably in a public-sector environment.

You have experience applying your knowledge of stakeholder engagement principles, best practices and methodologies to develop effective results and you seek continuous improvement based on effective monitoring and evaluation of stakeholder engagement.

•Develops and directs the corporate stakeholder relations' strategy through consultation with leaders, ensuring alignment with corporate goals

•Oversees the development of strategic stakeholder engagement plans, including identifying key stakeholders and issues, and developing recommendations for resolving issues

•Provides expert advice and counsel to senior executives on stakeholder initiatives, issues or concerns

•Identifies, builds and maintains trusting, strategic business relationships with key stakeholders, endeavoring to find common ground between stakeholder and ICBC interests

•Monitors stakeholder relations activities, and evaluates and reports on progress and achievements.

Position Requirements

•Education or experience in stakeholder relations, strategic planning, and partnership development

Knowledge of research techniques and qualitative and quantitative methodologies to evaluate stakeholder initiatives

•Knowledge of project planning and management

•Familiarity with the current legislative and regulatory environment, government processes, and political relationships and practices.
