What is Member Month?

What is Member Month?

A twice-yearly promotion, Member Month offers savings and discounts for all new and returning members. Member Month is a great time to join IABC/BC or renew your membership — whether you’ve been a member of IABC/BC for years, are new to communications, or are looking to rejoin after some time away from our chapter.

If you join us or renew your existing membership in March you will save 10% on international dues. You could also win an amazing VIP registration for the 2018 IABC World Conference in Montreal. The VIP registration includes hotel accommodation, reserved seating at keynote sessions, Uber car service, and other goodies.

Plus, if you are an existing member, consider referring new members to our chapter during Member Month to receive:

  • The chance to win a $250 Visa gift card
  • A year of free membership (must refer at least five new members)
  • Recognition on the IABC International website and at the IABC World Conference

Find or Grow Your Community

With IABC, you are joining a global community of professional communicators. This opens up a whole new world of learning, connecting, and volunteering. Our members come from all kinds of backgrounds, work in dozens of industries, and have a range of experience on their resumes.

IABC’s vision is to have a professional communicator at the heart of every organization. We are passionate about increasing awareness of the value of communications. The strategic framework of our association is to advance the profession, create connections for our members, and develop strategic communicators.

Here in British Columbia, our networking, professional development events, and volunteer opportunities enable new and existing members to meet and collaborate with like-minded communicators. We also offer numerous opportunities to grow your careers with us.

As an IABC/BC member, you’ll get access to:

  • Exclusive events and networking opportunities with communicators across BC, especially in the Lower Mainland
  • Volunteer opportunities to further the chapter and the communications profession
  • Professional development resources from IABC International and IABC/BC
  • Certification and awards programs to help you demonstrate your expertise, and stand out in the marketplace

What’s your IABC story?

During member month and beyond, we encourage you to share your stories about your experiences as an IABC/BC member. In March, if you create and share testimonial videos on your social channels with the #IABC hashtag, you could win a $25 gift card.

Plus, you can read some of our existing members stories here: http://iabc.bc.ca/myiabcstory/
