IABC/BC Announces Local Charities to Benefit from Gift of Communication Program
For many, volunteering is a two-way street; it can help to sharpen your skills and build contacts in your profession while also giving back to others.
With a strong culture of giving back, IABC/BC (International Association of Business Communicators, British Columbia) has numerous programs in place that see senior communications practitioners to students and professionals just entering the field volunteering while also continuing to develop their professional skills.
The recently launched Gift of Communication Program sees IABC/BC volunteers putting their expertise to work to support local non-profit organizations. In celebration of National Volunteer week, IABC/BC is pleased to announce that Ronald McDonald House BC and Special Olympics British Columbia have been selected as this year’s partners in the Gift of Communication program. These organizations will receive pro bono communications support to support their work as Ronald McDonald House BC works towards building a new larger house and the Special Olympics of BC plans for this year’s Law Enforcement Torch Run.
