DESCRIPTION:Ethical Patient Storytelling: Principled writing practice for s
 haring stories of diverse patients and clients\, including First Nations c
 lients\, mental health and substance use patients\, residents with dementi
 a\, minors in our care\, patients in palliative care\, and vulnerable and 
 at-risk populations in our communities.\n\nPlease join us for a lively rou
 ndtable discussion on the ethics and professional principles of telling co
 mplex patient stories while balancing their right to privacy with their in
 terest in public expression.\n\nWe will consider issues such as: When can 
 a patient truly consent to a photo and interview? How do you write sensiti
 vely about patients with vastly different backgrounds and life experiences
 ? What is the shelf-life of a story on a patient? What happens if their co
 ndition changes over time? Where is the line between public health educati
 on and exploitation?\nPlease come prepared to share stories of your own et
 hical storytelling dilemmas and solutions.\n\nWe will discuss:\n\n 	Avoidi
