DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a lively discussion about how to elevate you
 r health care social media campaigns to attract more engagement and pique 
 public and media interest. We’ll discuss integrating multimedia into you
 r social plans\, news-jacking\, best practices\, creating a channel voice/
 persona and more. Facilitated by guest Peter Darbyshire\, Communications S
 pecialist\, Digital Engagement at Provincial Health Services Authority (PH
 SA)\, who oversees nearly 50 unique social media accounts for a variety of
  PHSA health agencies and partners.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nMembers: FREE\nNon-Membe
 rs: $20\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nAbout this SIG:\n\nOur IABC/BC Health SIG offers an 
 informal\, confidential and supportive venue to receive feedback and excha
 nge ideas on day-to-day challenges in health communications. We strive to 
 be inclusive — all are welcome to attend from students to senior practit
 ioners and those looking for a career change into health coms. No problem 
 is too small or too big to warrant input and discussion. We strive to keep
  sessions focused\, constructive and relevant.\n\nTopics we might tackle i
 nclude: working with health professionals\, communications and fundraising
 \, communicating change\, working with the Ministry of Health\, keeping he
 alth story telling fresh\, explaining research communications\, public hea
 lth campaigns\, public and patient voice\, access to e-tools in health set
 tings and transition to digital comms.\n\nLight refreshments will be serve
