SUMMARY:Senior Communicators SIG: Being an effective\, trusted advisor
DESCRIPTION:Join IABC/BC’s upcoming Senior Communicators Special Interest
  Group (SIG) virtual session\, this time with a focus on building trust wi
 th your executive team. The Senior Communicators SIG offers seasoned prof
 essionals — those with 15+ years’ experience—an opportunity to excha
 nge ideas in a supportive\, informal environment.\n\nOur executive needs t
 he unique role of communicators to achieve clarity\, alignment\, trust\, a
 nd connection. As a senior communicator\, we can be their trusted advisors
 . Advisors enhance the effectiveness of our executives to lead. As advisor
 s\, we need to hold a unique combination of experience\, empathy\, knowled
 ge\, and skill. With our support\, executives can elevate connections\, un
 derstanding\, and influence through their leadership.\n\nIn this SIG conve
 rsation\, we will unearth how we engage our executives to increase their a
 bility to communicate and influence. This session will be facilitated by:\
 n\nRyan Williams\, MA\, ABC\, MC\; Partner\, Tekara Organizational Effecti
 veness\; President\, TWI Surveys Inc.\; Former IABC/BC Vice President (201
 2)\n\nRyan specializes in leadership\, communications\, organizational des
 ign\, and stakeholder engagement. His experience for the past 20 years has
  included all types of organizational design from functional and corporate
  strategy facilitation\, culture reviews\, organizational restructuring\, 
 leadership development programs\, to change management support around larg
 e scale transformations.\n\nRyan has won five International Association of
  Business Communicators’ (IABC) Gold Quill Awards and was recognized by 
 the International Public Relations Institute (IPR) with the Golden Ruler A
 ward of Excellence for Measurement in 2004 for his work with the Alberta M
 edical Association. He has led communication projects with many well know 
 global organizations like United Technologies\, ESPN\, PepsiCo\, Internati
 onal Monetary Fund\, Conagra Brands\, and Johns Hopkins Medicine.\n\nRyan 
 earned his Masters of Arts in Leadership (MA) from Trinity Western Univers
 ity in 2007\, and has a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Administration with
  a major in Community Development from The University of Alberta.\n\nHe is
  also the past Chair of the IABC Research Committee and past Executive Boa
