Senior Communications Specialist, Digital in Vancouver, Canada | Providence Healthcare
As the Senior Communications Specialist, Digital, you'll lead the development and implementation of PHC's digital strategy to advance internal and external audience engagement. You'll manage digital platforms, including intranets, extranets, and Providence Health Care’s brand new state-of-the-art website launching later this year, and work with clients to create communication and engagement plans such as websites, campaigns, feature stories, and social media tools.

You’ll also have the following responsibilities:
• Digital Strategy Development: Develop and implement a visionary and comprehensive digital communications strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. This includes defining target audiences, identifying key messaging, and determining the most effective digital channels and tactics.
• Website and Digital Platform Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of the organization's websites, employee intranet and digital platforms. Ensure they are user-friendly, visually appealing, and up to date with relevant content. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to optimize functionality, usability, and accessibility.
• Digital Marketing Campaigns: Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns to promote health care services, initiatives, and events. This includes utilizing various digital channels, such as email marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), display advertising, and social media advertising.
• Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to track and analyze the performance of digital communications initiatives. Monitor website traffic, intranet engagement, and campaign effectiveness. Generate reports and provide insights to inform decision-making and optimize strategies.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging digital communication trends, technologies, and best practices in the health care industry and beyond. Seek opportunities for innovation and process improvement, and implement strategies to optimize digital communication efforts.
• Manage digital communication vendor relationships: Including monitoring established contracts, overseeing RFPs, and serving as the team's primary point of contact with external service providers to ensure effective work flow.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have: a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline, a Certificate in multimedia or digital strategy, plus a minimum of five (5) years of communications experience, including two (2) years of digital communications experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
