Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS) is an independent day school from JK-12 that is a caring and thriving community. Associate Director of Communications

Position Overview

The Associate Director of Communications is a newly created role that will serve as an integral part of our Marketing and Communications team, responsible for advancing our content capabilities by creating compelling, on-brand, relevant communications through our various channels, both owned and earned, to amplify our brand image in the Greater Victoria community. You will use your skills and experience to harness the power of telling meaningful stories, providing strategic expertise that will build collaborative community relationships with staff, parents, neighbours and the city as a whole. What You’ll Bring

You will have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English or related field, with at least five years of working experience in this area. A combination of education and experience may be considered.  The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills and will excel at writing and editing, as well as presenting to various audiences. Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully developed, implemented and led community engagement strategies.  Membership in a professional association such as CPRS or IABC is also desired.
