Description
The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is looking for two communications specialists to join the communications team based at the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC).
We are currently looking for one role with a focus on digital content (web and social media) and one role with a focus on media relations. That being said, our communications specialists are generalists who can also help plan and execute internal and external communication and engagement strategies to advance BCCDC priorities and initiative. This includes writing producing content such as news releases, media pitches, online content, newsletter articles, organizational bulletins, social media content, intranet updates, speeches, video scripts and more.
In joining our award-winning team, you are signing up to play a key role in developing and disseminating the information people need for their health and advocating for those who face inequities. It’s a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and unpredictability. You will be joining a high-performing team who cares about each other, has fun, and can find humour in almost any situation. Our team has humbly started a journey of reconciliation and you would be help advance our efforts to dismantle our colonial ways of thinking and acting, and also welcomed into an environment that seeks to be culturally safe for all. You would be one of three members of the PHSA communications team based at the BC Centre for Disease Control and will work closely with all BCCDC service lines and the PHSA communications teams.
