Concert seeks a talented, enthusiastic and passionate communicator for a 12-month contract role during the company's exciting 30th anniversary year of operation. Reporting to the Director, Corporate Communications, the Manager is responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of corporate communications initiatives aimed at helping to inform employees about the business, and maintaining and building the company's brand across Canada.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist in managing and executing a comprehensive corporate communications strategy
- Support 30th anniversary events, activities and initiatives
- Identify and develop proactive communications opportunities aligned with business need
- Generate social media; monitor and evaluate trends and opportunities
- Manage corporate website updates and assist with a significant website redevelopment project
- Support creation of quarterly and annual financial reports
- Support senior management's communications requirements
- Lead industry award submissions
- Manage corporate brand and style guidelines and ensure standards, corporate messaging and content standards are met and consistent
- Support employee experience programs and initiatives
- Organize and execute special events
- Lead the development of corporate ads, video productions and photo shoots
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations
- Five to seven years of communications experience in a corporate context
- Strong computer skills, including InDesign, MS Office and social media platforms
- Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is an asset
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
- Formal training in the use of social media and online marketing and communications tools
