The Liquor Distribution Branch is one of Canada’s largest distributors and retailers of beverage alcohol. At the Liquor Distribution Branch we are driven by innovation and have a passion for the future and are looking for a dynamic professional to join our team.
The Manager of Communications reports to the Director of Corporate Policy and Communications and is responsible for leading, developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies and tactics, including corporate communications and media relations. The department develops a variety of corporate and employee publications, including public information materials and the LDB’s Annual Report and Service Plan.
The Communications Manager functions at a senior level and provides management expertise, communications advice and direction to senior executives, and ensures the consistent and effective implementation of communications plans, policies, procedures and standards throughout the LDB. The position also provides media relations expertise and functions as a media spokesperson, where appropriate.
This position functions in a fast-paced, empowered, dynamic and issues-focused environment where priorities are continuously changing, requiring the incumbent to excel under pressure, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
