The BC Dental Association (BCDA) is the voice of BC dentists. As the second largest dental association in Canada, our mandate is to advocate for our members and promote oral health for all British Columbians. We represent over 3900 general dentists and certified dental specialists across BC and collaborate with health and community stakeholder groups to link the clinical work of our members with better health outcomes. BCDA is a regional and national leader in proactive professional association management and a proud member of the Canadian Dental Association. The Association provides a range or member programs and services, including online education for dentists and their clinic staff, one-to-one member support, and mentorship programs. POSITION SUMMARY

If you’re a motivated communications professional looking for a challenging and rewarding career, we’re seeking a seasoned Manager, Corporate Communications & Public Affairs to lead our strategic communications and public affairs initiatives.
This role is pivotal in promoting and protecting the reputation of dentists in BC and advancing the goals of the Association. This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies, managing media relations, overseeing the production of BCDA’s publications, and leading public education and community outreach initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure that BCDA’s public messaging reflects its status as the voice of dentistry in British Columbia, effectively engaging with both members and the public to enhance membership value and support BCDA’s strategic objectives. This is a hybrid work environment role.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Undergraduate degree in Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• At least seven years of corporate communications experience with increasing responsibilities at a manager level, preferably in healthcare, government, or a professional association.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and teams.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset

SALARY & BENEFITS
BCDA offers a competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
Salary range: $79,875 - $106,500 per year
