Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, you are a valued expert and collaborator on our Marketing Communications team. From your vantage point, your work will be cross-functional and critical to connecting our in-house branding, creative, event and external relations experts to internal clients in Advisory Services and Client Services. You know how to increase our brand presence, impact and engagement based on your previous experiences as a project manager and your interpersonal skills have made you successful in managing client relationships and delivering results that have enabled growth and lead generation.

As a Marketing Operations Manager, your key accountabilities will involve:

  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Manager, Corporate Relations and the Senior Manager, Brand to plan, resource and deliver on marketing projects
  • Track and monitor all aspects of project management for integrated campaigns, including status updates, reporting, risk mitigation and evaluation
  • Coordinate, in conjunction with Client Services, the Client satisfaction survey and marketing involvement in client experience
  • Refine and improve the measurement system to identify the effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis
  • Build dashboards and reports, optimize reports to improve visibility and solve for business needs
  • Optimize marketing infrastructure, systems, and technology to refine marketing processes. Identify opportunities to utilize and adapt new technology and tools to ensure peak productivity and performance.
  • Responsible for martech stack, including supporting implementation and integrations
  • Manage relationships with agency partners and vendors to execute projects. Primary contact to negotiate contracts for advertising and marketing agencies, etc.
  • Train and on-board new submitters and agencies on Editorial/Corp/Brand standards
  • Partner with Demand Generation & Finance to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Oversee marketing and campaign planning
  • Ensure adherence to SEC rules and compliance
  • Budget reporting and tracking

As a Marketing Operations Manager, your experience and qualifications will include:

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 8+ years of progressive career experience
  • Intermediate user of CRM/SFA and marketing automation/email marketing platforms
  • Proven ability to complete several concurrent projects on time and on budget, with the involvement of multiple stakeholders
  • Leadership and people management experience, ideally from leading large project teams of multi-departmental stakeholders. Agency experience is an asset, along with managing remote work teams
  • Superb interpersonal and relationship management skills to influence, motivate and build trust
  • Strong and confident communicator, ability to deliver presentations and give/receive feedback with the team and clients
  • Self-starter, results-oriented
  • You have high attention to detail, are well organized, and agile
  • Understanding of lead management processes and technologies
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS
  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes on the fly
  • Experience in navigating third-party and partner relationships
  • Experience with marketing analytics, social media, and content marketing an asset
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer
