Communication Specialist
$57,480.47 - $65,417.88 annually effective February 3rd 2019

The PGT is in need of a Communications Specialist who will help build relationships with external stakeholders and media and support employee engagement. The PGT is undergoing transforming the way it delivers services and as such, needs a communications expert who has the savvy and experience to ensure communication needs are met. At the Public Guardian and Trustee (PGT), employees are committed and dedicated to a mission, vision and mandate that puts client needs first.

The Communications Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the strategic goals and activities which are influenced by our clients, stakeholders and staff.   The position also works with the media, supports staff engagement, and strengthens the profile and understanding of the PGT and its role through effective internal and external communication activities.  Please explore the Public Guardian and Trustee to find out more about this organization.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Post-secondary degree in public relations, journalism, communications or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience working in or with media or in a public relations/corporate communications environment
  • Minimum of 1-year experience having direct responsibility for internal and external communication needs of a corporate or public-sector program including issues management.
