Description

Concert Properties Ltd. is an award-winning diversified real estate enterprise with assets in excess of $3 billion and shareholder equity of over $2 billion. Exclusively owned by Canadian union and management pension plans, Concert is involved in developing rental apartments, condominium homes and retirement communities, acquiring and developing office, industrial and infrastructure properties, and in property management across Canada.

Seldom does a career opportunity like this come along.  A newly established position, the Director, Corporate Communications role requires a special leader who is strategic, tactical and creative with a unique blend of professional skills, excellent relationship building qualities and outstanding work ethic.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, you will lead a small team in planning and delivering corporate communications strategies and initiatives for Concert.  Specifically, you will create and implement strategies for handling media relations, print and online materials, issues management, community relations and events management as the organization continues its growth.  Your ultimate goal will be to build and enhance the already well-established profile and reputation of Concert.

This all-encompassing corporate communications role for one of Canada’s most recognized real estate companies requires you to have a proven track record of success and an outstanding reputation for collaboration, listening abilities, a sense of urgency plus a willingness to try new ideas.  You are recognized by your peers and contemporaries as a strategic thinker with a practical, hands-on approach to managing priorities and resources.  Additionally, you are confident in providing counsel to senior management while at the same time rolling up your sleeves to get things done.

As the ideal candidate you bring a minimum of 10 years of experience in a proactive corporate communications leadership role where deadlines have been a way of life and a reputation of delivery has been built.  You are creative, detail-oriented and strategically minded, with an acute understanding of business writing styles; you also have an innate ability to seamlessly integrate corporate strategy and values into all executive communications. Needless to say, you are a consummate professional with a history of consultative and interpersonal competencies.

If you are ready to take on this exciting role and build on the success of the past while
creating a strategic approach for the future and are committed to being part of a
dynamic and progressive business operation, please send your resume and covering
letter, in confidence, to Shelina Esmail or George Madden at www.pfmsearch.com.
