Coordinating strategies for specialized health care across B.C is vital, complex and challenging work. PHSA supports health system improvement and innovation through a variety of provincial programs (such as Cardiac Services BC, Trans Care BC, Perinatal Services BC and others) and the PHSA Research and Academic Education portfolio. How we communicate about these programs helps set the stage for province-wide improvements, in collaboration with health system partners, providers and patients.
You are customer service-oriented and ensure clients’ communications services are aligned with the overall strategic direction of PHSA – achieving consistent quality standards, adhering to best practices and maximizing opportunities for stakeholder awareness, education and engagement. You liaise with key external contacts within government and other health authorities to negotiate and facilitate consensus, provide information, guide and direct others.
The successful candidate will possess empathy and maturity, be a role model for client support, and have wizard-like skills when it comes to setting (and re-setting!) communications priorities in consultation with your clients and colleagues.
