Our Managers are accountable for developing, implementing and evaluating internal and external communications strategies and initiatives for assigned clients, programs and campaigns. As a key member of the PHSA Communications team, managers provide counsel to staff and leaders on communication planning and facilitation; supports leaders in advancing employee engagement; identifies and manages sensitive issues; prepares media releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, issues notes and other briefing materials; identifies and coaches media spokespeople; organizes internal and external events, including news conferences, open houses and town halls; and oversees the development of publications, web resources and internal and external announcements.

The opportunities:

Manager, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement at BC Children’s and BC Women’s Hospitals (C&W): We are recruiting to fill an educational leave and will be offering a one-year term, with the possibility of extension to May 2023.  This role supports two of PHSA’s highest profile clinical programs and brings with it the chance to dive deep into communications work with a powerful impact.

Manager, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement, Business Operations, Diagnostic & Treatment Services, and Digital Information Services & Innovation: This full-time opportunity supports a number of programs that lead strategy, service and implementation for the province, working closely with regional health authorities and other partners.
