Come join the SFU Beedie School of Business as Manager, Events and Marketing. This position performs a critical role in the development and successful delivery of events that enhance the profile of the department and support the marketing and business development objectives of the External Relations team. The position manages all pre-, onsite, and post-event activities including the development and implementation of event budgets, timelines, procedures, and programs; negotiates contracts with internal and external stakeholders and vendors; and oversees event staff and volunteers. This role also manages the planning and execution of virtual and hybrid events. The role manages the creation of event promotion and marketing materials, and researches, compiles, and/or drafts briefing notes for speakers and works with Marketing and Communications on scripting. The Manager oversees the design, development, and content of the Beedie's advertising and promotion for responsible events, including online and print communications, media and public relations activities, and provides advice to support program areas in the faculty.
