If video is the most popular visual marketing content, then why should you include infographics in your branding strategy?
Here are statistics on why they are worthwhile.
These are convincing reasons to add infographics to your marketing plan. They can enhance your content, increase sales, or explain to your customers how to use a product or service.
Once you have your topic, your content, and confirmed that your sources are credible, follow these five steps on how to create an infographic.
What are your design tool choices?
- With Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop), you must have a paid subscription and some graphic design skills.
- Adobe Express, BeFunky, Canva, Piktochart, Venngage, and Visme offer free plans for all skill levels. To access more features, you must upgrade to their paid tiered plans.
- Google Charts is free and simple to use if you have basic coding knowledge.
Note: While the IABC/BC does not promote one platform over another, we do recognize the widespread use of Canva; hence, my use of the platform in this article.
I created both infographics in Canva. It makes graphic design easy and straight-forward for the non-designer. With the free version, you can create graphics from scratch, or choose from a library of templates; many are free and those with a crown emblem are for paid subscribers. You also have the option to send a link to your team to request feedback or obtain approvals on your content. In addition, Canva offers printing and delivery services.
If you are still sitting on the fence, here are more statistics to ponder:
• 65% of organizations use infographics for their branding purposes.
• 32% of marketers believe that infographics are the most valuable content that they produce.
• Infographics can increase website traffic by up to 12%.
Why not leverage infographics in your organization’s marketing strategy?
