Ariela Friedmann

Ariela Friedmann is a communications and marketing professional with 25+ years in the industry. But what makes her perfect to be the Local Experience Lead for the IABC World Conference 2025 is her volunteer work promoting local experiences through the annual Tourism Vancouver Challenge and as a Couchsurfing Host and Ambassador to visitors from around the world.
When not consulting, Ariela volunteers at the three theatre centres managed by The Cultch, as a member of the Board of Directors for Britannia Community Centre, and for the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival.

My career spans crafting data-driven strategies for SAP and BC Liquor Distribution Branch, leading volunteer-driven initiatives for Brands for Better, Canadian Cancer Society, RayCam Community Centre, and advising clients like All-Pro Painting Services through my consultancy. Known for turning complex ideas into compelling narratives, I thrive at the intersection of creativity and execution—ensuring every message lands with purpose.

Reina is an enthusiastic third-year Business student at Simon Fraser University, concentrating in Management Information Systems and Marketing. Passionate about learning, growth, and giving back to the community, Reina seeks opportunities to create meaningful experiences that bring people together.
At SFU, Reina is involved with the Student Marketing Association (SMA), where they host events and initiatives to bridge the gap from classroom learning to real-life experiences. Additionally, Reina is supporting the 2025 World Conference as a Local Experience Coordinator.
With a strong interest in community-building, Reina brings energy and purpose to both academic and volunteer opportunities.

Image Specialist, Zara
Daniel Cherkezov is an Image Specialist at Zara and the Partnerships and Special Projects Coordinator with IABC/BC. He is also supporting the 2025 IABC World Conference in Vancouver as the Lead for On-Site Hospitality. Daniel is passionate about storytelling, design, and creating engaging experiences that connect people and foster a sense of community.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Simon Fraser University and brings a creative, detail-oriented mindset to both his professional and volunteer work. In his role with the IABC World Conference, Daniel is helping curate a positive and welcoming experience for attendees throughout their stay.

Communications Advisor
Rumnique, Communications Advisor at Emily Carr University of Art + Design brings her diverse digital marketing, communications and storytelling to IABC. As a former Co-Director of Marketing & Communications at IABC BC from 2018-2020, Rumnique is thrilled to showcase the best of Vancouver’s best restaurants as the Dine Around co-lead for this year’s IABC World Conference. As an avid pop culture fanatic, you can usually find her at the movies, preaching the gospel of 70mm film, or swaying at a concert.
