It’s time to talk about TikTok. Whether you think the app is just getting started in public sector or you’re secretly relieved that BC Gov has put the kibosh on Gen Z’s favourite pastime, it’s safe to say everyone’s talking the future of TikTok.
Join us for an evening to discuss the pros, cons, trends, and challenges involved with a public sector TikTok account. We’ll kick off the evening with a presentation from Yvonne Ko, a specialist at UBC who is the mind behind the UBC Student Life TikTok account, who will talk about the strategy behind the account and marketing to Gen Z. Then we’ll dissect the latest ban, whether public sector brands are keeping their accounts alive (and how), and just how you do a fast moving channel like TikTok well when you require approvals from senior executive.
With new trends emerging hourly, and different public sector orgs issuing memos on the company phone Tik Tok policy daily, this is sure to be a lively discussion. We hope you will join us at this SIG!
