What’s on your 2022 wish list?

A new calendar year often brings renewed energy fueled by words that inspire us to set and realize our goals. Every moment is a fresh beginning. Every time you tear a leaf off a calendar, you present a new place for new ideas. You may have a few of these bookmarked in your 2022 calendar already!

As you reflect on personal resolutions, you may also be considering how these balance your professional wish list. This is why I personally recommend this quick read from the IABC Catalyst magazine, titled What’s on a Communicators 2022 Wish List?

I am personally grateful to have had the opportunity to connect with a few of you in person during our joint IABC-CPRS Holiday Social at Steamworks Brewpub in Vancouver last month. Whilst we are all looking forward to the opportunity to connect in person again, your safety and that of your family and loved ones continue to be our priority. Due to the rapidly developing nature of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, we are having to once again pivot to virtual events for some of our upcoming programming

In-person programming will continue to be conditional on public health and safety guidance. I would like to take this opportunity to our colleagues in the health care and public service sectors, who continue to be on the frontline of delivering critical information that is keeping our health and safety paramount. Should you, your organizations or your clients require critical COVID-19 information within British Columbia, please visit the BCCDC’s COVID-19 resources for the most up-to-date communicable disease information.

I know this news is disappointing for many of you, as it is for me personally.  In the meantime, you have the commitment of our Board and Volunteer team that we will continue to put your health and safety first, as we monitor the ongoing changes associated with the pandemic to determine when it will be safe for us to meet in person again.

Thank you for your continued commitment to our professional community!

Gracias,

José
