Join IABC/BC’s first Public Sector SIG virtual session, with a focus on the role of transparency and trust in communications.

About this event

As constant, two-way communication between organizations and the public becomes the norm, communicators are dealing with higher expectations, increased pressure and larger audiences than ever before. When a high-pressure situation arises and stakeholders turn to you with questions, is it better to wait until you have all the facts before responding publicly? Give a non-answer? Tell your audience that you’re working on finding answers to their questions?

During this SIG event, we’ll explore the role of transparency and trust in communications. We’ll discuss suggested practices, professional lessons, successes in addressing trust, and how too much transparency can become a problem. Be ready for a lively conversation as we take a deep dive into one of communications’ biggest challenges.
