This Public Sector SIG will provide communications professionals with tools and tips on how to stay up-to-date with the latest trends.

About this event

Skill what? Lynda who? In the age of digital learning and endless training opportunities (but limited budgets), it can be a challenge to stay up-to-date on the latest and greatest trends and skills. While the public sector can be limited in what funds we’re able to dedicate to professional development, marketing and communications evolution won’t wait for us to catch up! Limited capacity, trend-based social media and brand new platforms only exacerbate this issue, leaving public sector communicators wondering how we can possibly stay current.

During this SIG event, we’ll have a lively conversation on how different industries are tackling these challenges and discuss some of the must-have courses and live training we’ve encountered, in addition to on-demand, free online workshops, and more.

Come with your questions, frustrations or solutions to the one question that’s been plaguing us: Can public sector communicators really do it all?

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are small, informal gatherings currently held online via Zoom, where like-minded communicators meet to connect and exchange knowledge around relevant, emerging topics within the communications community.
